Master Plan and Renovation
Lothrop Associates was hired to create a master plan for the historic Port Chester Rye Brook Library. The Library required less stack space, more technical services space and better utilization of the older portion of their building which was not handicapped accessible. As part of a larger strategy of improvements and phased plan we completed the following: construction of a new teen room and a separate children’s room, and the design of a 3-stop hole-less elevator with opposing doors to reconcile the close but mismatched levels between the original building and a subsequent building addition.
