The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary is recognized as New York City’s Designated Eye Trauma Center and nationally for its outstanding subspecialty healthcare services. In continuum of their excellence, Lothrop Associates provided full architecture services and interior design services to relocate and expand their Retina Center. The new state-of-the-art, award-winning facility provides diagnostic and treatment services in a patient friendly environment, designed with warm wood tones and centralized digital technology. The design features a “pod” concept of individual exam and treatment rooms, decentralized patient sub-waiting areas, centralized intake and discharge and a physician office suite.
